This book is a collection and an archive of all bowling animations availaiblle on the internet. They’re made by various corporations like: Brunswick Bowling Products, Round One Entertainment, Lucky Strike. These animations were once part of the bowling experience, playing on screens after every throw, celebrating strikes and spares in their own way. Over time, many of these animations have been overwritten by newer, more sleek and polished visuals. In doing so, these bowling alleys lost a bit of their charm and character. The older animations felt more playful, more experimental, fever-dream-ish but that is exactly what made them memorable. I have font memories of going to the local bowling alley and playing with my friends and family. This bowling place has been gone for a few years now, and watching pictures of that place makes me nostalgic. I vividly remember falling on my chin here and losing my first teeth. Small moments like these are tied to the space, but also to the visuals that surrounded it. This book is a love letter to these animations.
